I have been offered ABAC Foundation Scholarships, and I am waiting to hear back from other scholarship opportunities.

Which teacher has made the biggest impact on your life and how?
I have two teachers who both made big impacts on my life. Mr. Bryant and Mrs. A. Hobbs both were incredible teachers that taught me so much more than just what I learned in class. Mr. Bryant taught me practical life lessons that I will carry with me forever and he showed me how to be a leader through his classes and being an FFA Officer. He gave many students, including myself so many opportunities and he would never give up on a student. Mr. Bryant also taught me perseverance and to never quit something I started. I thank him for showing me what I want to do for the rest of my life, all of the memories in class and FFA, and all of the things he taught me.

Mrs. A. Hobbs showed me what it is like to be a member of a team. She took a chance on a little sophomore and pulled me into Upper AV (making me a peer teacher). She put a sophomore in front of seniors and let me teach them. She taught me how to take charge and not let anyone look down on me. She has taught me the balance of having fun while working and being productive, making too many memories to count in the process. Mrs. Hobbs kept me around to see the class grow so much from when I started. Finally, she showed me that as long as you put your mind to it, you can do the impossible. I thank her for the compassion she has shown me, everything she's taught me, and all of the memories and friends I've made in her class.

What is the best advice you could give to underclassmen?
The best advice I could give is to live a balanced life full of love. You only have these four years of high school, go to the games, go to dances, and participate in sports or clubs. That is where you make memories and make some amazing friends, that will become like a second family. However, continue to work hard on your schoolwork and learn to manage your time. Find a balance that is best for you. Don't live life thinking "it could have been me." But, don't forget, everything you do now can also affect you in the future.

What do you want people to know about the school district? #whywalton
I want people to know about the wonderful people in the school district. Walton County has some of the best faculty that really do love their students. I mentioned Mr. Bryant and Mrs. Hobbs earlier, but I have had so many teachers, administrators, cafeteria staff, and maintenance staff make such an impact on my life. I love getting my breakfast in the morning and the staff knowing me by name and asking how I've been. Mr. Ed and the other workers always greet me when I see them. The administrators always wave and talk to me if they have a moment. It is the little things that matter the most to me. The smiles, waves, and compassion of Walton County employees show just how much they truly care and how much they want to see us succeed. They show us so much kindness and respect. I will never forget the impact these people had on me and I thank them all for it.
