Georgia Milestones are tests that measure how well students in grades 3 through 12 have learned the knowledge and skills taught in English Language Arts, mathematics, science and social studies. 

Students in grades 3 through 8 take an end-of-grade test in English Language Arts and mathematics. Students in grades 5 and 8 are also tested in science and social studies. High school students take an end-of-course test in each of the 10 classes selected by the State Board of Education.
