Which teacher has made the biggest impact on your life and how?
Every teacher I have had over the past 13 years in Walton County has played a big role in my life, but Mrs. Ashley Brown stands out the most. I have been fortunate to know Mrs. Brown for many years, even before coming to Monroe Area High School. She genuinely cares about her students, and her huge heart for everybody in the school building does not go unnoticed. Mrs. Brown shaped me into who I am today, and I will forever be grateful for our relationship.

I also have been lucky to grow up in the same school district as my dad, Coach Connell, and I want to thank him for passing down the love of education and teaching to me. I can say on behalf of the entire class of 2023 at MAHS that he deserves a tremendous amount of credit for our success.

What is the best advice you could give to underclassmen?
Be a leader and always have a positive attitude, you never know who is looking up to you. Appreciate your friends, and most importantly, appreciate your teachers, and take the time to let them know how important they are.

What do you want people to know about the school district? #whywalton
The teachers and staff truly go the extra mile to further our education and make sure we have all the resources and support to succeed, in and out of the classroom. Walton County is a very tight-knit community that has given me many lifelong connections.
