Flexible Spending Account

Flexible Spending Account

The FSA Health and Dependent Care are administered by WageWorks.

The Health Care spending account allows individuals to use pre-tax dollars to pay health care expenses such as deductibles and co-pays; costs for procedures not covered or not fully covered by health, dental and vision; contact lenses, and glasses; prescriptions, and more. Users will receive a VISA spending account card for purchases of eligible health care services.

All receipts must be kept since some transactions may require validation by WageWorks.

The Dependent Care Flexible Spending accounts allow you to use pre-tax dollars to pay for the care of your children under age 13 or other IRS-eligible dependents. Childcare services may include preschool, afterschool or nursery school.

For the 2022 plan year the annual amounts you may contribute are:

Dependent Care: Minimum of $120 and Maximum of $4,992
Health Care: Minimum of $120 and Maximum of $2,808

Flexible Spending accounts do not roll over to the next year.

There is a grace period for the Health Care FSA through March 15, 2023 to deplete your account. You may continue to use your debit card or submit qualified expenses for reimbursement for products and services purchased through March 15, 2023. All claims must be submitted by April 30, 2023 to HealthEquity/Wageworks.

There is no grace period for Plan Year 2022 Dependent Care FSA.
