2023 Graduation Rates Released

The Walton County School District’s graduation rate has remained above 90% for the fourth consecutive year, with the Class of 2023 achieving a rate of 92.2%. The district’s graduation rate continues to surpass the state of Georgia, outscoring the state rate of 84.4% by 7.8 percentage points.

In 2023, all WCSD subgroups surpassed the State, and rates for the Hispanic and Economically Disadvantaged subgroups reached new record highs. Graduation rates for Asian/Pacific Islander (100%), Black (93.8%), Hispanic (92.9%) and White (91.3%) all surpassed 90 percent. While rates for English Learners (80.6%), Multi-Racial (86.8%), Economically Disadvantaged (87.2%) and Students with Disabilities (81.3%) surpassed 80 percent.

It is a testament to the potential and promise of our students, and I have no doubt that they will continue to excel in their future endeavors. We are proud of our continued pursuit of excellence and ability to maintain exceptional graduation rates above 90%.”

The 4-year cohort method is based on the number of students that graduate within four years plus one summer and includes adjustments for student transfers.
