Dr. Chere' Brown
Support Person of the Year 2019-20
This is Dr. Brown’s 11th year at Youth Middle. She was born and raised for most of her childhood here in Georgia. But as a young teen her family relocated to Oregon where she finished middle and high school. She returned to the south for college and earned a B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in School Counseling from Lee University in Tennessee. She continued her educational pursuits and earned an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University followed by a Ph.d. in Counseling Studies from Capella University. In addition, to serving students during the school day at YMS, Dr. Brown has also assisted students and families in our R.I.S.E. after-school program. Dr. Brown also teaches collegiate learners as a graduate Adjunct Professor for Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, Georgia where she has served since 2015. Throughout her collegiate teaching career, Dr. Brown has received the opportunity to work with both national and international students from multiple countries, and this experience has greatly enriched her personal and professional life.
When asked about working at YMS, Dr. Brown stated, “Youth Middle is an amazing school with a caring and dedicated staff who have student's best interests at heart. It is truly an honor to work with the staff and students of YMS daily!”
YMS is proud that Dr. Chere’ Brown is our Support Person of the Year!
