GMEA All-State Chorus

Jesse Smedley has passed all requirements to participate in the 2022 GMEA All-State Chorus in Athens, GA February 17--19. He has accomplished so much and has a bright musical career ahead of him. Please congratulate him if you see him!

FBLA Region Awards

Congratulations to the following FBLA members who recently completed in the on-line Georgia FBLA region testing: Makenna Reavis - 1st in Business Calculations; Max Hendricks - 2nd in Accounting 1 and 10th in Personal Finance; Katherine Sargent - 3rd in Hospitality & Event Management AND 3rd in  International Business; Makayla Walker - 4th in Sports & Entertainment Management; and Cerenity Christopher - 10th in Intro to Business Communications. Congratulations to these FBLA members who placed in the Top 10 of their events in our Region! Some of these winners will advance to state! We won't get the results of our Video Competitions until January 31st!

Boys Soccer

Boys soccer is looking for a few students to help out with the program. One of the jobs needed is somebody to operate the clock and announce starting line-ups during games. The other job is filming the games. Please see Coach Connors in room 214 on green hall if you are interested.

Monroe Area FBLA activities in December

During the month of December the Monroe Area FBLA chapter collected new toys to donate to Toys for Tots. We had 21 members participate including pictured L-R Craig Jackson, Makenna Reavis, and Tricia Brown - adviser. Members that participated in at least 3 community service projects from the fall were invited to enjoy pizza and other refreshments during their lunch time and watch a holiday movie. Mrs. Brown took the toys to a local Toys for Tots drop off location at Uptown Nutrition in Monroe.

Spring Make Up Work Policy Spring 2022

Any assignments assigned between January 4th- February 11th  will not be accepted after Wednesday, February 16th. All work assigned will not be accepted after this date.

Any assignments assigned between February 16th-April 1st will not be accepted after Tuesday, April 12th. All work assigned will not be accepted after this date.

Any assignments assigned between April 11th-May 18th  will not be accepted after Friday, May 20th. All work assigned will not be accepted after this date.

Late work will be defined by each individual teacher and can be found in the course syllabus.
Penalties for late work will be determined by individual teachers and can be found in the course syllabus.

Each individual teacher will determine the due date for all Remediation Work assigned to the class or to an individual student.


WCSD COVID Related Absences

Walton County School District Policy: Students attending school in person who become sick or are quarantined will be able to receive and complete any missed assignments without penalty. Once a student has met the Georgia Department of Public Health's guidelines for returning to work/school, the student would be able to return to school.

MAHS COVID Related Absences Policy
All work assigned while a student is absent due to COVID related symptoms will be due no later than 10 school days after returning. This will be the only exception to the MAHS Make-Up Policy.
COVID related absences will be identified by the attendance committee and teachers will be notified.

2021-2022 Parking Permits

2021-2022 MAHS Parking Permits are now available for purchase online at mypaymentsplus.com! The cost is $60.00 per parking permit (Annual). Permits purchased after March 1 will cost $30.00. Students taking 4 or more classes off campus (per school year, to include Dual Enrollment and WBL) may purchase a permit for $30.00-- this will be verified with their schedule in Infinite Campus. Note: If a student is scheduled for 2 off campus classes for 1st semester and 1 for 2nd semester they will pay $60.00.
