Career Awareness Expo - Walton County Chamber of Commerce
The Walton County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Career Awareness Expo on Tuesday, March 26 from 9 am to 12 pm at Meridian Park. Students can meet with over 40 local businesses to learn more about career opportunities in Walton County. Students will register through Schoology.

Flag Football Interest Form
Interested in playing girl’s Flag Football during the 2024 season?
Fill out this form [LINK] in order to get emails with details regarding Spring workouts, Spring practices, scrimmages, and summer training.
Tryouts for 8th graders will be held on May 6th from 6:00pm-8:00pm on the turf game field at MAHS. Tryouts for current 9th-11th graders will be May 7th and 8th from 6:00pm-8:00pm on the turf game field at MAHS. Those girls making the program will have practices on May 13th and 15th from 6:00pm-8:00pm on the MAHS practice field and scrimmage games on May 16th. FCCLA Region Competition
FCCLA Competed this weekend at Region 3 Competition at Madison County HS.
Kiara Woods earned a bronze medal in Professional Presentation.
The following students placed in the top 2 and will advance to state:
Abigail Moss - Silver Medal in Early Childhood Education
Abigayle Thompson - Gold Medal in Teaching Strategies
Hailey Malcom - Gold Medal in Career Investigations
Kaitlyn Horn - Silver Medal in Job Interview
Walton EMC Grant Winners
Thank you to Walton EMC for awarding Monroe Area High School over $17,000 through the EmPOWERment Grants Program!
$3,500 was awarded for our Annual Adulting Day event for our Seniors.
$9,005 was awarded for a replacement welder for our Ag Mechanics program.
$5,000 was awarded for the softball and baseball program.
We would like to thank our great Partner in Education, Walton EMC, for their continued support of the community. Walton EMC consistently supports MAHs, and our district as a whole, with these types of impactful and meaningful projects.
RISE Program Recruitment
RISE is a federally funded after-school program within the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers. RISE is designed to increase academic performance, improve student engagement and behavior, and offer families of participating students literacy-based opportunities. Students can receive tutoring in Math and Reading. Enrichment activities include Drama, PE, Cooking, and STEM.
The MAHS RISE program will provide Credit recovery as a part of this year’s program. Credit recovery students can work on their coursework until 4:30 p.m. and then participate in various enrichment activities for the rest of the day.
All students are welcome here Gen Ed, Sped, Honors, ESOL.
