Spring 2022 Chromebook Collection


Chromebooks should be returned to the Media Center after students finish Spring final exams. Please make sure they are charged. Seniors need to return chargers, but students in grades 9-11 should keep their chargers (do not turn them in).

If you are taking summer classes through dual enrollment or GAVS, please email your schedule to the media specialist to keep your chromebook over the summer.

Senior chromebooks and chargers are due back by Friday, May 20.
These should be:
  • Fully charged
  • Free of all non-WCSD stickers (and residue) or drawings 
  • Returned with a working charger or $25 for replacement 
  • Any repair fees (past/current) fully paid 
Grades 9-11 chromebooks (do not return chargers) are due back by Wednesday, May 25.
These should be:
  • Fully charged

Baccalaureate 2022

The Senior Baccalaureate service will be held on May 15 at 1025 Church. Practice will be at 2pm and the service will begin at 3pm. Family and friends are invited! If you are planning to attend, email up to 3 pictures of your time in high school to Gloria Nguyen or Tyler Stinchcomb for the Flashback Slideshow.

DiVarsity Player of the Year


?Zoe Graham got chosen for the 2022 DiVarsity Georgia High School All Star Soccer Game. Even more important, she was selected as the 2022 DiVarsity Georgia High School AAA Girls Player of the Year for her incredible performance on the field. This means she was recognized by coaches across the state as the best AAA female soccer player. The All Star game takes place on 5/15 at 3:15 at Sprayberry High School in Marietta where Zoe will be the only MAHS student to ever be chosen and the only Walton County student participating this year. She will be recognized before her game and receive a plaque for her accomplishment!

Student Art Show Results

Congratulations to Jessie Knight and Mia Davis for winning first place at the Walton County Student Art Show. The Exhibit was judged by Savannah College of Art and Design, and they both received a 12,000 dollar scholarship.

College, Technical School, and Recruiter Visits

Hosting college, technical, career and recruitment representatives on our campus plays a crucial role in student awareness of the various admissions processes for life after high school.  

Students, sign up for the various institutions that visit our school by clicking on the link shared via schoology or by visiting the College/Technical, Career and Recruitment page on Counselor's Website.

During the month of March representatives from Georgia Gwinnett College and Valdosta State along with Universal Technical Institute and SCAD will be visiting.  Be sure to sign up for these school visits to learn more about their exciting programs!

Spring Make Up Work Policy Spring 2022

Any assignments assigned between January 4th- February 11th  will not be accepted after Wednesday, February 16th. All work assigned will not be accepted after this date.

Any assignments assigned between February 16th-April 1st will not be accepted after Tuesday, April 12th. All work assigned will not be accepted after this date.

Any assignments assigned between April 11th-May 18th  will not be accepted after Friday, May 20th. All work assigned will not be accepted after this date.

Late work will be defined by each individual teacher and can be found in the course syllabus.
Penalties for late work will be determined by individual teachers and can be found in the course syllabus.

Each individual teacher will determine the due date for all Remediation Work assigned to the class or to an individual student.

WCSD COVID Related Absences

Walton County School District Policy: Students attending school in person who become sick or are quarantined will be able to receive and complete any missed assignments without penalty. Once a student has met the Georgia Department of Public Health's guidelines for returning to work/school, the student would be able to return to school.

MAHS COVID Related Absences Policy
All work assigned while a student is absent due to COVID related symptoms will be due no later than 10 school days after returning. This will be the only exception to the MAHS Make-Up Policy.
COVID related absences will be identified by the attendance committee and teachers will be notified.

2021-2022 Parking Permits

2021-2022 MAHS Parking Permits are now available for purchase online at mypaymentsplus.com! The cost is $60.00 per parking permit (Annual). Permits purchased after March 1 will cost $30.00. Students taking 4 or more classes off campus (per school year, to include Dual Enrollment and WBL) may purchase a permit for $30.00-- this will be verified with their schedule in Infinite Campus. Note: If a student is scheduled for 2 off campus classes for 1st semester and 1 for 2nd semester they will pay $60.00.
