Counseling Services

The Monroe Area High School Counseling Department is here to assist students with a variety of needs, including graduation information, course selection advisement, Dual Enrollment (formerly known as MOWR), Advanced Placement (AP) course advisement, career exploration, GAfutures, YouScience, work permits, transcripts and career and college decisions. Please check our website periodically for upcoming events and important dates. 
Please visit the MAHS Master calendar for information on events, testing dates, deadlines, college visits and more.
Current MAHS students can use to send free, electronic transcripts to colleges/universities in the state of Georgia. Once logged in go the "college planning" tab to order transcripts. Electronic transcripts are only available for colleges in the State of Georgia. To request a paper transcript please see your counselor.
***For out of state transcripts, alumni, and vital records requests WCSD has contracted with, a digital credential service, to process records requests. You can request records from MAHS through Parchment at this link: We will still utilize GA Futures, but Parchment is being used for out of state transcript, alumni, and vital records requests. 
The fee countywide is as follows:

Electronic transcript: $5 each
Mailed transcript: $7.50 each
Vital Records: $5.00 each
Employment Verification: $12 each

A student has the right to privacy and confidentiality. A counseling relationship requires an atmosphere of trust and confidence between the student and counselor. Confidentiality ensures that disclosures will not be divulged to others except when authorized by the student or when there is a clear and present danger to the student and/or to other persons (GA Law 49-5-41).
