LMS Art courses are designed to provide the student experience using a variety of techniques and materials to produce drawings, paintings, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and graphics. Art lessons focus the study of design theory and allow the investigation of the aesthetic quality and merit of selected painting styles. Integrating technology, allows students to explore software, and allows students to build experience and confidence in their computer skills.. Grades are generated from the design process activities, theory vocabulary and sketchbook practice. Emphasis is place on presentation, high school portfolio building, and the examination of art careers. Georgia Performance Standards drive class curriculum emphasizing design elements and principles in project based learning.
