What is LEAP?

Afterschool Program is a morning care and after school program that is federally funded through the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. It offers students an array of both academic and enrichment opportunities. This program is a free service to parents between the hours of 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students receive a snack while in the afterschool program and transportation is also provided. Some of the various activities that students will participate in include:
  • Homework Help
  • Academic Enrichment 
  • Computer Lab 
  • Physical Education 
  • Golf 
  • Friday Clubs

What services are provided in LEAP morning care?

Morning Care is a service provided at Walnut Grove Elementary School, between the hours of 7:00-8:00 a.m. Students must be escorted into the building by a parent and signed in every morning. Each student that is part of the morning care program must have an application on file. The Morning Care program is federal funded through the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant, and is a free service to all parents. Students get to engage in the following activities during Morning Care: 
  • Computers
  • Movies 
  • Games 
  • Art 
  • Additional Homework time
