As we approach the 4th quarter of the 2023-2024 school year, many of our eighth-grade students will turn 15. The State of Georgia requires all students attempting to get a learners permit to provide a Certificate of Enrollment from their school. Before issuing a Certificate of Enrollment, the school must verify the student is currently enrolled and not under expulsion.  

Due to the extent of checking for current enrollment and getting the form notarized, we require 24-hour notice before it will be available for pick up from the front office. If your student will turn 15 over the summer, make sure that they request their form before the last day of school. Typically, the form is only valid for 30 days, but the state does extend that in the summer.
