Cheer Requirements
Please know what you are signing up for!
Cheerleading is a time-consuming and expensive sport. Please review the CMS Cheerleading Contract on the CMS Cheerleading website to confirm that you can meet the requirements.
1. Cheerleading costs are typically between $700-$800. This covers camp, camp clothes, uniform rental fee, shoes, game day shirts, backpack, warm-up, bow, snacks etc.
2. A complete breakdown of costs and payment plan options will be discussed at the parent meeting held after tryouts. The date is to be announced, stay tuned for more information from Coach Cown if your daughter makes the squad.
3. Girls will not be allowed to participate in any cheerleading activities if payments are not current.

Squad Options: Girls DO NOT have a choice in squads, you must cheer for both football AND basketball seasons of the 2020-2021 school year.

Important! All girls must have the following items below to participate in tryouts.
1. A valid physical AND concussion waiver form
2. Three teacher recommendations via the Google Form. Coach Cown will also email this to teachers, BUT girls are in charge of securing their own references.
3. A completed cheerleading application via Google Form completed by the girl trying out for cheer.
4. A signed cheerleading contract signed and returned to Coach Cown.
5. An essay completed answering the questions posted at the bottom of the cheerleading contract and sent to Coach Cown (this can be a Google Document, emailed, typed and printed, or hand written.)
****All forms can be found under "Quick Links" on this webpage. Forms are due to Coach Cown by Friday, March 20,  2020. There are no exceptions to this deadline, if your forms are not turned in by 3/20, you will not be eligible to stay after on Monday 3/23.
