Cheerleading Requirements
To be eligible for tryouts, all students must have the following items on file with Coach Almand by Friday, April 12 to attend tryouts. 

  1. Athletic Physical 
  2. Insurance Waiver
  3. Concussion Awareness Form
  4. Cardiac Arrest Awareness Form
  5. Student Emergency Information Form 
  6. Two (2) teacher recommendations 
  7. Cheerleading Contract
Cheerleading packets with all required forms are available in the reception area, front office, Media Center or Coach Almand's door (Room 609). More information about middle school eligibility can be found here. 

Please know what you are signing up for! Cheerleading is a time-consuming and expensive sport. Carefully review the CMS Cheerleading Contract to confirm that you can meet the requirements.

  1. Cheerleading costs are typically between $750. This covers camp, camp clothes, uniform fee, shoes, game day shirts, backpack, warm-up, bow, banquet, etc.  
  2. A complete breakdown of costs and payment plan options will be discussed at the parent meeting held the week after tryouts. The date is to be announced. Stay tuned for more information from Coach Franke or Coach Almand. 
  3. Girls will not be allowed to participate in any cheerleading activities if payments are not current.
  4. Parent Meeting & Uniform fitting will be announced with more important dates about camps and summer practices.

Squad Options: Girls DO NOT have a choice in squads, you must cheer for both football AND basketball seasons of the 2024-2025 school year.
