Georgia Apply to College (GAC) is sponsored by Communities in Schools of Georgia, the Georgia Student Finance Commission, Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Independent College Association, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, the Technical College System of Georgia and the University System of Georgia. GAC has the goal of providing all Georgia high school seniors with the opportunity to apply to college using GAfutures.org, with a focus on providing assistance to first generation and underrepresented students as they navigate the college application process.
ALL WGHS Seniors will have a 30 minute appointment during the school day to apply to college, research colleges, careers or the military. All of this will be under the supervision and assistance of college admissions representatives, our WGHS Counselors, our CIS Site Coordinator, Milisa Wise, as well as several community volunteers.
Each year we have over 100 college applications submitted during this event.
