Daily Announcements

Students: On Thursday, December 21 st we will donate all items not claimed in the Lost and Found. If you are missing an article of clothing now is the time to stop by the front lobby and check the Lost and Found to be sure it is not in there. 
Interact Club will meet on Monday, December 18 th for our Holiday Party in C204. Please have your ride pick you up by 3:30 pm.
Academic Bowl will have its Christmas Party Monday, Dec.18th after school in room C- 209. Ms. Raby will send out an email with the list of what people are bringing. If you have not signed up to bring food, please do so.
Attention all AP World students scheduled for next semester: There is a mandatory AP World meeting after school on Monday and Tuesday. All AP World students must come to one of these 2 meetings to get the course textbook and winter assignment. This meeting is in Mr. G’s room – H112 at 3:00 pm.

Varsity and JV Soccer Girls: Conditioning starts January 4 th from 3:15 to 4:45 pm. We will condition rain or shine so bring running shoes and soccer shoes. We will meet in Coach Canova’s room – A307. Try-outs begin on Monday, January 15 th from 1 – 3 pm on the athletic field.
Join us tonight in the theater at 7 pm for the LHS Band’s Winter Concert featuring tunes from your favorite movies.
With Winter break coming up, you may have more time to read.  The Media Center has just received a new shipment of the latest and best young adult books and graphic novels.  Remember there is no limit on the number of books, ebooks, or audiobooks you can check out. Come by the Media Center and take home some of these great reads today.
Students:  If you have a calculator checked out from the Media Center, those calculators are due back to the Media Center by this Thursday, December 21.  Remember calculators are only checked out by semester.  If you have a year-long math class, you will need to come by the Media Center to renew your calculator.
Don’t forget to dress up tomorrow in your holiday finest for fun and prizes. Either wear your tackiest, ugliest holiday sweater or funniest, grinchiest costume. Remember no face coverings and dress code rules apply. See Mrs. Pohlel at lunch tomorrow to enter to win!
Congratulations to Lindsey Viar for winning one of the 4 Chick-fi- A scholarships. 
This past weekend, several LHS students auditioned and competed for a coveted spot in District Honor Band. The following students were accepted: Ben Smith, Jacob Duff, Frank Pina, Ally LaRocca, and Gabby Kouzinoglou.
