My name is Teresa Ingram. I grew up in Washington County, which is located in central Georgia. After completing high school, I attended Georgia Southern University and earned a degree in Political Science/Pre-Law. While there, I volunteered at Statesboro High working with special needs students. It was then that I decided that I wanted to become an educator and enrolled in the education program at Georgia Southern. Since then I have earned several degrees in education and have been working in the field of education for 25 years. During this time, I have served as a classroom teacher as well as a school counselor. I am excited to serve as counselor for Atha Road Elementary where I hope to make a positive impact on the academic, personal/social, and career goals of students. I will be implementing a comprehensive guidance program to address student needs through classroom guidance, small group counseling, and individual counseling services while collaborating with administrators, teachers, parents, and community agencies.
