Biographical Information:
In 1995, I graduated from the University of Georgia and received my Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child and Family Development. After I received my Master of Social Work degree from UGA in 1998, I worked in White County as a school Social Worker. In 2004, I started at Loganville Middle School as an 8th-grade Language Arts teacher. Knowing that social work/counseling was my calling, I returned to school and received my Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. The following year, I moved into a counseling position at Loganville Middle School. In 2008, I transferred to Loganville High School and served in the same position. In 2012, I received my Doctor of Education with a specialization in Administrative Leadership for Teacher Learning and moved into an Assistant Principal position in April of the next year. I love Loganville High School and Walton County. This is my home, and I plan on retiring from here! My personal goal is to use my background, education, and experience to create a school environment where students feel supported, safe, accepted, and engaged so they can pursue their goals and become successful members of society.
