WGHS and SmartPass
Beginning Tuesday, January 4th, Walnut Grove High School will be using the digital hall pass system SmartPass. SmartPass does not have a GPS tracking system and is only a digital version of traditional sign-out sheets and paper passes.

It provides staff and administrators an accounting of which students are outside of the classroom during the school day. In case of emergencies such as fires, severe weather, or building intruders, administrators have real-time access to this critical information. Beyond the uses for emergency situations, the transition to digital passes will also make it easier to identify excessive time out of class. This leads to more effective and informative parent-teacher conferences, as well as ensuring students are where they should be - in the classroom learning.

At this time, students are only accessing SmartPass through their school-provided device. Staff members can access the app from their computer or personal mobile device.
