WGES End of Year Activities Awards, Field Days, and Parties
Please do not check your child out to attend another child’s Awards, Field Day, or Party.
There is not enough space to accommodate this, and we ask you to focus solely on the child being celebrated on a particular day. Thank you for your cooperation with this guideline.
It is fine if you want to check all of your WGES students out following the end of the day's events.
5th Grade Awards - parents and family members are welcome to attend this evening activity at 6 PM on Thursday, May 18th.
Monday, May 15, 2023 - 5:30-7:30 Fine Arts Night / 1st Grade Program
Tuesday, May 16, 2023- Pre-K & Kindergarten – 9:00 Awards in Cafeteria/ 9:45-12:15 Field Day/ 12:30 Lunch/Parties in Classrooms
Wednesday, May 17, 2023-1st Grade - 9:00 Awards in Cafeteria/ 9:45-12:15 Field Day/ 12:30 Lunch/Parties in Classrooms
Thursday, May 18, 2023- 2nd Grade - 9:00 Awards in Cafeteria/ 9:45-12:15 Field Day/ 12:30 Lunch/Parties in Classrooms; 5th Grade
Friday, May 19, 2023 - 5th Grade - 9:00-5th Grade Walk, outside on the back hill, (Families may attend and bring signs and cheer on their 5th grader!) 9:30-12:00 Field Day/ 12:30-Picnic
Monday, May 22, 2023-4th Grade - 9:00 Awards in Cafeteria/ 9:45-12:15 Field Day/ 12:30 Lunch/Parties in Classrooms
Tuesday, May 23, 2023-3rd Grade – 9:00 Awards in Cafeteria/ 9:45-12:15 Field Day/ 12:30 Lunch/Parties in Classrooms ***WGHS Graduation, 8 PM
Wednesday, May 24, 2023-Last day of school
We welcome our families to join us for Field Day, Awards, and Party activities! Please review these Guidelines –
The Gym will be open for restroom and water access.
Visitors may not participate in Field Day activities. You may want to bring a lawn chair(s).
The established dates for Field Days are subject to change due to the weather.
Bathing suits are not permitted at Field Day.
Only the students who are scheduled to participate in activities on that day and at that time are to participate in the Field Day activities.
Students attending WGES in other grades may not be checked-out to watch or participate in Field Day activities, Awards, or Parties.
No tobacco/tobacco-related products (including e-cigarettes, vapes, dip) or alcoholic beverages are permitted at school functions.
