Important Grading Information
 Dear Parents,

We would like to once again thank you for your continued support during this time. We
understand that these are challenging times in many respects and you have been a critical
partner in educating our students.

We would like to share more information regarding how grading will be handled for all schools
as a result of this closure. As keeping students engaged in learning remains our top priority,
teachers will continue posting new assignments through May 8. This will give students two
weeks to complete any assignments made prior to May 8 and receive additional support in
specific subject areas where needed. All teachers and staff will continue to support students and
parents online through the end of the academic year.

Following guidance from the Georgia Department of Education, a student’s overall grade will not
be negatively impacted by work during the closure; however, students do have opportunities to
improve their grades by completing work during this time. Fourth quarter grades will be the
March 12 progress grade or higher. As a reminder, there will be no state testing administered
this semester.

We will provide additional information regarding end of year events, Chromebook returns, item
pickups and more as soon as final dates and times have been set.

Thank you again for your support.

Sincerely,
Alan Satterfield
Principal
