100 Best Public Fleets in the Americas
NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), the vehicle fleet industry’s largest membership association, has named the Walton County School District’s Transportation Department an Honorable Mention in the 100 Best Public Fleets in the Americas for 2023. WCSD is one of only four school districts in the nation and the only school district in Georgia to be recognized.

“I want to congratulate Transportation Director Bruce Clark and his dedicated team on this well-deserved recognition,” said Superintendent Nathan Franklin. “Managing a fleet of almost 200 buses and transporting thousands of students daily is no small feat and they make it seem easy. We appreciate the work of our bus drivers, monitors, mechanics, supervisors and route specialists who work tirelessly to ensure our students arrive at school and back home safely each day.”

The 100 Best program identifies and encourages ever-increasing levels of performance improvement and innovation within the fleet industry. The goal of the 100 Best contest is to foster pride in the industry, build recognition within the national fleet community, increase levels of productivity and operational effectiveness and encourage more individuals to consider fleet operations as a career choice.
