Sharon Elementary School Principal Beth Morgan has been accepted into the Governor’s School Leadership Academy (GSLA) Principal Program for the 2023-24 school year.
Through partnerships between Gwinnett County Public Schools, the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) and the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), the GSLA Principal Support Program is designed to support sitting principals in achieving transformational school-level improvement.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to participate in this cohort and receive professional learning based on the most current research, said Morgan. “I look forward to collaborating with other principals across the state and sharpening my instructional leadership skills to positively impact our students, faculty, and district.”
As a member of the cohort, Morgan will join sitting principals from across the state in professional development opportunities to develop leadership strengths while expanding a network of support. Participants will also engage in assignments and activities that are aligned with GaDOE’s School Improvement Division. Ultimately, the goal of the GSLA Principal Support Program is to increase the impact of school leaders on behalf of the students and communities they serve.
