CMS Return to School Safely 20-21

Dear Parents,

We look forward to working with your child this coming school year. We understand you may have
many concerns and questions. Know we are working diligently to establish safety measures that focus
on the safety of your child and the staff. Below are some steps we have taken. Please note that all plans
are subject to change based on additional state and local guidance.

General Safety Measures:
- Wearing masks are highly encouraged for staff and students
- Frequent hand washing will be encouraged
- Hand sanitize stations will be made available throughout the school
- Students are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer
- Custodians will follow daily and rigorous cleaning protocols
- Sneeze guards will be installed at reception area and one mobile sneeze guard will be used as
needed
- Water fountains will be turned off. Multiple touchless bottle refilling stations will be installed.
Students should bring a clear, reusable water bottle each day

Visitors
- The number of visitors in the reception area and front office will be limited
- Social distancing is expected in the reception area and front office
- Visitors will be asked to use hand sanitizer
- Masks are highly encouraged for visitors

Hallways
- Class change will be staggered to decrease the number of students in the hall
- All students will flow in one direction to go to the next location
Classrooms
- Space between desks will be maximized to the furthest extent possible
- All desk will face one direction

Lunch Room
- During breakfast students will maximize social distancing
- Lunches will be eaten in the cafeteria and in classrooms to maximize social distancing
- Hand sanitizer stations will be located at the beginning of the lunch line
