FBLA: 18 Years of Keeping Walton County Beautiful!

Monroe Area FBLA met Wednesday, October 25, 2023 for its Community Service meeting.  Eighteen years ago, Monroe Area Future Business Leaders of America adopted the mile in front of the high school and board of education building on Double Springs Church Road as a part of the Keep Walton Beautiful program.  Twenty members met after school for our business meeting, we collected and rolled $66.60 worth of dimes that our members contributed for our March of Dimes donation in honor of Prematurity Awareness Month in November. We also put together Halloween goody bags for the ECE Little Cane Learners and went over our chapter events and region competition coming up soon. Then members put on their gloves, and collected trash along both sides of the street as a part of their community service project.  Members enjoyed refreshments of pizza and cookies upon completion of the community service.
