Board Meeting Recognitions

The Walton County School District and Board of Education take pride in recognizing the outstanding work of its students and staff. Each month, school and district leaders have the ability to recognize individuals who have excelled in arts, academics and athletics/extracurriculars. In addition, schools recognize volunteers and community partners annually with the One Walton Impact Awards.

In 2020-21, the district launched the Why Walton Awards - An Employee Recognition Program sponsored by KOCH Orthodontics. Board members and district leaders recognize and appreciate that the Walton County School District is full of talented and dedicated employees who play an important role in the safety, security and success of our students. The goal of this program is to identify and recognize employees who, in their contributions and service to the District, demonstrate high-quality job performance above normal expectations and exemplify #whywalton.
