Jenni Collins
Collins, Jenni
Art Teacher
My educational career began after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University in 2001 with a BS is Art education. I have taught art for 20 years spanning over two states and three counties at both high school and elementary levels. I received my Masters in 2007 in Administration and Supervision from the University of Tennessee at Martin. I’ve had the opportunity to attend the National Art Education Association’s National Conference in three different states and continue my learning through other art related professional development. I moved to Georgia in 2014 to marry my soulmate and love of my life, Joe. We live in Watkinsville with our two fur babies Rhyder and Panda. My husband and I love to travel, go to concerts, and spend time with our families. My other hobbies include photography, sports(watching, playing and coaching), being outdoors, and creating and exploring art. I believe that through art, children can learn about all aspects of life and find a creative avenue to express themselves to society. I am looking forward to a fun, exciting year at Walker Park Elementary and sharing my love for art with my students and co-workers.

Brian Weese
Weese, Brian
Music Teacher
Hey there! My name is Brian Weese. I have been the music teacher here at Walker Park since July of 2009. Each year I am very excited about working with your children to learn to read, play, compose and appreciate music.

I have 5 wonderful kids, the youngest being adopted from Ukraine. Because my Dad was in the Air Force we travelled around a little bit and I was born in Hawaii!  So far I have lived in 8 states and traveled to Mexico, Japan and Ukraine.  I have taught at the high school level in AZ and the elementary school level here in Gwinnett County, Georgia before teaching in Walton County.  I have led the music at 2 churches, one in Kentucky for 2 1/2 years while attending seminary and the other in Ohio for 4 1/2 years after getting my Masters in Church Music degree. I love to sing, play instruments and compose songs for students to play; I play several instruments, but my main instrument is the trombone.  I have published several music worksheet type books (all published by Lorenz Music Company) full of music games and puzzles designed to help reinforce musical concepts for elementary age students.  Besides musical things, I love going to the movies, making homemade pizza, reading sci-fi novels and playing board games.

I hope to get to know you and your child more throughout this school year!  Let's make some music!
