Hi! My name is Morgan Blalock and I’m so excited to join Walker Park for my 11th year of teaching! I’ve taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade in both NC and GA. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State and my Master’s degree from Piedmont College. I am certified to teach PK-5, Special Education, Gifted, and ESOL students. When I’m not teaching, I love to spend time with my family, travel, read, and go camping. My husband, Brad, and I have two children, McKinley and Austin.

I am excited to start my fourth year of teaching as an eagle! I graduated from UGA with my bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and am currently continuing my education at UGA to earn my master’s in reading instruction and curriculum. This summer I got married! I am from Monroe originally, but currently live in Jefferson, GA.

My name is Kayla Lastinger. I have been at Walker Park since 2011, and have loved every minute of it. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and am also a Gifted Certified teacher having completed course work through Northeast Georgia RESA.

I have one younger brother, and two fur babies named Jasmine and Murray! We enjoy watching college football (go DAWGS), playing fetch, or curling up on the sofa with a good book!

I am excited and eager to work with your students this year. I consider it a great privilege to teach and work with your students everyday to help them unlock all their full potential. I look forward to what the year has to bring for everyone. If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

My name is Amanda Martin and I am excited for another year here at the Park! I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from Kennesaw State University and have gone on to earn my Reading Endorsement, ESOL Endorsement, and Gifted Endorsement. I have taught kindergarten, first, and fifth grades. I do love the little ones though and love to see their amazing growth each year. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, reading good books, and being outdoors. I look forward to seeing what great things the year has to bring for each and every student!
Miranda Smith

Hello! My name is Miranda Smith and I'm excited for another great year at the park! I love being a teacher. I graduated from Piedmont College with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I also received my Masters in Education at Piedmont University in 2018. When I'm not teaching, I love to read, listen to music, take pictures, and travel to visit anywhere with palm trees and waves. You can also catch me cheering for the Dawgs at Sanford Stadium in the fall. I'm looking forward to another great year and I can't wait to see what this year has in store! 
Tonya Turner

My name is Tonya Terry-Turner. I am originally from the great state of South Carolina and I have been teaching at Walker Park since 2016. I have taught kindergarten, first, and third grade. I have a bachelor’s in early childhood education from the University of South Carolina (1998), master’s degree from Webster University (2005), and educational specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University (2014). I have lived in the Atlanta area since 2005 and I am happily married with one happy, feisty daughter. I love teaching and supporting children. I enjoy helping students reach their full potential.
