The Walton County School District will host District Title I and Comprehensive Local Education Agency Implementation Plan (CLIP) meetings this school year to provide an opportunity to share information about the Title I Program and the district CLIP. The District will hold meetings to review and assess the Flexible Learning Plan (FLP)
Title I is a federally funded program for elementary, middle and high schools. Through this program, the government provides financial assistance to school districts based on family income at each school. The Title I program is designed to ensure that all participating children have a fair and equal opportunity to obtain a high-quality education while providing an enriched and accelerated educational program.
CLIP is a comprehensive district plan based upon multiple data sources regarding district goals for the year and how resources will be coordinated to meet the identified needs of the school district.
FLP is an intervention program for Title I Focus Schools and designated Priority Schools. The program provides additional instruction or educational programs for all eligible Title I students and serves as an alternative supplemental academic intervention that allows the school district greater flexibility in designing extended learning programs. FLP's are tailored to the needs of the school and provide students at risk of failing with additional learning opportunities.
All meetings are held at the Board of Education, 200 Double Springs Church Road in Monroe, Ga., 30656.
