Students at Sharon Elementary School will create a variety of artworks and work with several different types of art media. In art class, students have the opportunity to think, learn, communicate, create, express and explore! Students will also learn different techniques to produce studio pieces. They draw, paint, make collages, produce pottery and ceramics, create prints, do crafts and explore current art trends. Students learn art history, multiculturalism, function and form, aesthetics and practical application to the world around us.
Each fall, students have the opportunity to participate in an art fundraiser known as
Square 1 Art. This fundraiser allows family members to purchase personalized items that have their child's artwork on them.
