Google Apps
Google Apps for Education (GAFE) is a suite of free productivity tools for classroom collaboration. The suite includes Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites. There are various add-ons that can be used with Google Apps.
Google Maps - are a fun and visual way to help students understand geography concepts, map reading, location, and distance measurement.
Google Earth - offers a variety of ways to interact with and explore the world, ocean, and beyond.

Google Street View - explore many of the world's treasures up close without leaving the classroom.
Google Cultural Institute - brings together millions of artifacts from multiple partners, with the stories that bring them to life, in a virtual museum
Easybib - Search for books, journals, and websites and format your citations using MLA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, and over 7K other styles, to create your Work Cited page all within your document.
Kaizena - The purpose is to help teachers give better feedback to students. You can pull the document into Kaizena with one click using this add-on. Create a lesson for concepts you explain frequently. You can save a voice comment, text comment, or any link as a lesson. There is even a way to track rubric criteria using "skills." This is a very impressive emerging tool for teacher feedback.
Pear Deck – create interactive presentations and formative assessments to engage students.
Read&Write - includes read-aloud, text prediction, vocabulary building tools, and many other features helpful for helping students write.
WeVideo - is great for performing simple video edits on the web.

Cacoo - is a user-friendly online drawing tool that allows you to create a variety of diagrams such as site maps, wireframes, UML and network charts.
CiteLighter - an academic research tool that provides an organizational framework for writing your papers
Diigo Web Collector - Capture and Annotate - Users can bookmark links to web pages, add highlights and stickies to webpages, share pages that have been annotated to Twitter and Facebook, and create groups to share resources and curated content.
Flubaroo - is an add-on to Google Forms/Sheets which lets you quickly grade and analyze student performance on multiple choice and fill-in assignments. Within a minute you'll be able to:
Giphy - Search for animated GIF’s and add them to their Google Docs, Presentations, or directly to a Gmail message.
Google Scholar - Find full-text articles and easily grab detailed citation information in a variety of popular formats. As a bonus you can download your completed bibliography.
Goo.gl URL Shortner - allows you to shorten any website URL. A QR code is also created with this shortener which teachers can copy and paste to their website, blog, or presentation.

Newsela - publishes daily news articles at 5 reading levels from grades 3–12 to drive gains in literacy.
Pic Monkey - Photo editing tool. Take images from web pages and open them in Pic Monkey for editing.
Padlet Mini - formerly Wall Wisher. Collect and share anything (text, documents, videos, etc.) from the web in the form of a custom "wall".
Read&Write for Google - Boost reading and writing confidence. Offer support for Google Docs/web to students with learning difficulties, dyslexia or ELL/ESL.
Save to Google Drive - allows users to save web content or screen captures directly to Google Drive.
Select and Speak - uses iSpeech's human-quality text-to-speech (TTS) and reads selected text. Includes 43 iSpeech text-to-speech customization voices.
Screencastify - Doesn’t require Flash, Java, or any other plug-in. Install the extension, allow access to your camera and microphone and start recording. Use the pen tool to write on the screen and erase in one click. Finished videos can be saved to Google Drive and/or uploaded to YouTube.

Storybird - is a creative digital story-building tool for readers, writers, and educators.

Chrome Browser TricksNotepad - Use your browser as a notepad. Copy “data:text/html, <html contenteditable>“, into the url bar then press enter and your Chrome tab will turn into a notepad.
Internet down game - If you aren’t connected to wifi and try to access a webpage, you may see the all too familiar “Unable to connect” dinosaur. What you probably didn’t know is that if you press the spacebar it turns the dinosaur image into an in-browser game you can play while you wait for the internet to come back.
Timer - In the Chrome browser search box, type “timer 30 seconds.” As soon as you press enter/return, the timer starts! Try it out…any length of time will work.
