Back-to-School 2022-23

We are excited about the upcoming 2022-23 school year here in Walton County! A variety of back-to-school resources are available below to help students and families prepare for the first day of school. If additional information is needed, please contact a local school or use the Contact Us form.

School Supplies

The Walton County School District has utilized a portion of federal funds (ESSER III-ARP) to purchase school supplies for elementary, middle and high school students enrolled in WCSD. Parents will only need to purchase a book bag and reusable water bottle for the 2022-23 school year.

Individual school supply kits will be provided for students in grades K-8 on the first day of school or at Open House. Bulk supplies for pre-k and high school students will be distributed at each school as needed. All necessary classroom supplies will be provided as well. Additional supplies needed will be ordered throughout the school year.

Open House Schedule

Open House events will be held on Thurs., July 28 and Fri., July 29. Click here to review the complete schedule.

School Meals

At this time, the federal government has not extended the meals at no cost. For the 2022-23 school year, families must either pay full price for meals or be determined eligible for free or reduced price meal benefits. To be considered for free or reduced price benefits, families must complete an online or paper application unless they have been notified in writing by the School Nutrition office that they are pre-qualified. Applications will be available here beginning July 1, 2022.

School menus will be available online at a later date.

Transportation Information
