Behavioral Expectations
Bay Creek Elementary School has three behavioral expectations for all students. Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Ready to Learn
Behavior Indicators
These are descriptions of what the behavioral expectations (Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Ready to Learn) look like in various school settings.
Behavior Matrices
Matrices that detail the behavioral expectations for each location are posted around the school for students, teachers and visitors to see. Each matrix contains the behavior indicators and what the behavior expectation looks like in that particular setting.
Procedures
The PBIS framework at BCES also includes procedures which teacher students specific ways for completing tasks.
An example of this is how to behave responsibly during transitions:
1. Clean up your area
2. Stand and push in your chair
3. Eyes are on me.
