Flu Guide for Parents
Dear Parents/Guardians:

As you know the flu is widespread and potentially very dangerous. Here are a few reminders for you to help get through this flu season.

1.       If your child has or has had a fever, please do not send him/her to school unless he/she has been fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication. This puts other students as well as teachers at risk for contracting the flu.

2.       Encourage your children to wash their hands at every opportunity at school and home. Classrooms have hand sanitizer to use between hand washing with soap and water.

3.       Students should not eat or drink after each other.

4.       Please practice good respiratory etiquette with your children: cover coughs, use the sleeveā€¦not hands. Dispose of tissues in the trash.

5.       Please do not send your child to school if you suspect your child has the flu; please keep him/her at home until it is confirmed by a doctor.

Schools are being proactive by emphasizing good hand washing, respiratory etiquette, disinfecting and cleaning surfaces frequently.
