Help students in Tanzania with Ms. Nagle!

This summer Ms. Nagle (a MAHS science teacher) will be working with local schools in Moshi, Tanzania. These schools have a teacher to student ratio of 1 teacher to 50 students all way to 1 to 200 students. Within the last year, the country has also permitted public secondary education to be free for the first time in history. With the high ratio and influx of students who had previously been turned away for being unable to afford the cost of attendance, the school is in high need of basic writing utensils and rulers.

She will also be visiting the Synder Upendo (swahili for love) Orphanage in Moshi, a home for infants and toddlers who have been abandoned. As you can imagine, running an orphanage is very costly. Thus, I was hoping to raise funds for what the sisters call "milk money," or money the convent uses to purchase powdered milk for the infants and also for hygiene items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste. For more information about the orphanage please visit https://www.snyderupendo-okat.com/about.html

If you are interested in helping out, the donations they are looking for primary school:

-jump ropes

-coloring books (with tear out pages)
-colored pencils

-monetary (for milk money)

She will have box in my room for non-monetary donations.
