I am widowed and have two grown sons, Cody, who is 33 years old and Lee, who is 30 years old. When I am not at school, I enjoy watching wild birds, reading and watching T.V. This will be my fourth year in the library as the school media specialist. I have spent the past 20 years in the classroom as a third grade teacher. I decided that I would like a change and since I love books and love to read, I thought that that would be a good way to transition from the classroom and still get to teach children.  So in the summer of 2016, I embarked on a two year journey to follow my dream. Even though I had many challenges to face (moving to a new house and the death of my father), I persisted and In the summer of 2018, I completed my Master's Degree in the field of school media specialist at the University of West Georgia. I am always looking forward to seeing the students in the library!
