Greetings from the WGES Art Room!
I'm looking forward to a creative year with your young artists! In addition to having many cross-curricular lessons planned, we will also engage our creative talents in creating art that will help you check off that holiday shopping list!
A Little About Mrs. Christian!
Mrs. Christian is originally from Nashville, Tennessee. She attended Mercer University and earned her B.A. in Art Education. After teaching art for several years, she wanted to learn more about how the arts impact, inspire, and even change people's lives for the better. She moved to New York, where she received her Masters Degree in Clinical Art Therapy. She served as a therapeutic art educator and counselor for several years in the Nashville community before returning to the classroom and relocating to Covington, where she currently lives with her husband and their daughter, Kloe, who is now a 3rd grader at WGES. She is a proud step-mom to Terrell (Holly) and Rebekah (Craig) and loves her 3 grand kiddos, Clay, Denver, and Terrah! In addition to her love for sharing and inspiring through the arts, she is a member of her church's hand bell choir, and a big fan of the outdoors and camping.
