Walton County has nine elementary, three middle, two high schools, Career Academy, Alternative Center, and a Performance Learning Center.
The voters approved the passage and extension of ELOST to provide funding for the following projects:
- Atha Road Elementary School - completed July 2001
- Youth Elementary School - completed July 2002
- Classroom addition and modification of Loganville High School - completed Spring 2003
- Construction of a new music, art and physical education facility at Loganville Primary School - completed July 2004
- Youth Middle School - completed July 2004
- New Monroe High School - completed July 2005
- New Monroe Elementary School - completed December 2006
- Construction of a new Walker Park Elementary School - completed December 2007
- Construction of a new Sharon Elementary School - completed July 2007
- Construction of a new LHS Stadium - completed 2007
The voters approved the passage of a Bond Referendum to provide funding for the following projects:
- Construction of a new Walker Park Elementary School - completed December 2007
- Construction of a new Elementary School No. 3
- Construction of a new Walnut Grove High School - See Pictures
- Construction of Loganville Athletic Complex
- Mechanical upgrades to existing facilities
- Purchase of sixteen (16) new buses
The Walton County Public School System:
- Has developed a facilities plan that targets the growing student population.
- Plans an aggressive construction and renovation program to house all students in permanent classrooms.
- Five year local facility plan calls for renovation, modification, additions, etc. to various existing schools.
