Scholarship Resources

There are many scholarship resources at your disposal. The following websites have been recommended in magazine and newspaper articles, library and education journals. We have not evaluated all of them in depth; therefore, as with ALL online information, you should carefully evaluate the source in judging the reliability of the information provided.

 

Local Scholarships

Students and Parents need to check this list regularly for updates. Many scholarships update early in spring semester.
 
This list has scholarships from last year along with this year and the list will be updated as this years scholarships become available.  
 
All WGHS college-bound seniors need to complete the common scholarship application and recommendations. Turn into your counselor prior to 12-15-17. This list is for information purposes only, please check deadlines regularly. Each scholarship sets rules and deadlines so parents and students will need to contact the scholarship provider with concerns.

American Legion Legacy Scholarship  varies, based on need High School seniors who lost a parent in active duty after September 11, 2001
Kid's Chance of Georgia Scholarship   varies Students age 16-25 whose parent was catastrophically or fatally injured in a work-related accident
Central Walton Football Scholarship   $1,500 Senior who played or cheered for the Monroe Packers, see your Counselor for essay questions
McDonald's Ray Kroc Award   varies Seniors, Must be nominated- Complete the common scholarship application to be considered
