A: The Parent Portal is a confidential and secure web site where you can get current information about your child's school attendance and grades online. You can access it here.
Q: Who can access the Parent Portal?
A: All parents can access the portal. Elementary school parents currently only have access to attendance while Middle and High School parents have access to schedules and grades as well as attendance. Elementary school parents are scheduled to have access to grades in the fall of 2011. Contact your child's school for more information, or submit your questions using our online form.
Q: What kind of software or computer is needed to use the Parent Portal?
A: - Computer - any computer capable of running the
browser Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, Macintosh or
Windows.
- Software - Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. It is a free
download from www.microsoft.com.
- Internet connection - 56k modem speed or higher is
recommended.
- A monitor with at least 800x600 resolution is
recommended.
Q: How do I create a user account so I can use the Parent Portal?
A: Your child's school will provide you with a Parent Portal ID (GUID). By using this ID and following the instructions here you can set up your own account in Parent Portal. Note: the GUID is like a software licensing key - it is very long, but you only use it once.
Q: I have more than one child in WCSD Schools. Do I need to set up an account for each student?
A: No. Once you set up one account you will be able to see information on all of your children.
Q: What do I do if I have problems using Parent Portal?
A: Please call your child's school for any questions regarding the Parent Portal. You can also submit questions using our online form.
