The color guard is an integral part of the Marching Canes
- Learn to spin and toss a flag
- Learn to spin rifles and sabers
- Learn dances for the field and stands
Everyone who is interested must attend the tryout clinic May 6, 9, and 10
- May 6 and 9 learn a flag and dance routine
- May 10 tryout by performing the routine for a panel
No experience is necessary! You will learn the basics at the clinic to complete the tryout, and then you will continue to learn advanced technique during band camp.
All members must be able to commit to be at all rehearsals and performances:
- Band Camp: July 15-19 and 22-26
- After School Rehearsals every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
- Three competitions during the season as well as all home and away football games (including playoffs)
- A full schedule will be provided at tryouts
