Do you ever wonder how long a food will remain safe once you've purchased it? What about once you've opened it? Click on the link to the FoodKeeper App provided by FoodSafety.gov and browse through general categories of foods (for example: purchased frozen or dairy products) OR browse through by general types of foods (for example: meat or poultry). There are even important reminder steps to make sure you're keeping your food safe during production!

Dietary Guidelines for Americans
The Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) is updated and published every five years to establish the scientific and policy basis for all Federal nutrition programs, including research, education, nutrition assistance, labeling and nutrition promotion. The DGA offers advice for healthy Americans ages two years and over about making food choices that promote health and reduce disease risk. The DGA provides a consistent, science-based foundation for nutrition efforts by the various government agencies.
