“Education is the movement from darkness to light.”
-Alan Bloom

I am blessed and truly excited for this opportunity to become part of the Harmony Elementary School Community. I have been overwhelmed with the amount of support and love I have received so far, and feel so very fortunate to have been chosen to do this important work at Harmony. Just as I am excited about this school year, so is the entire Harmony staff. I can assure you all that the teachers and staff at Harmony ES are dedicated to the growth and development of each and every baby hawk and can not wait until they are face-to-face again with each of them.

As we begin the school year, know that the well-being and growth of your child is our top priority.  Not only will we provide a nurturing environment for students, but we will also focus on utilizing researched-based strategies in all content areas to support the educational growth of all students. An academic, primary focus of ours will be to support students in closing any grade level gaps.  Teachers will teach students to collaborate, think critically, communicate effectively and appropriately, and use their creativity to improve student learning and to make learning more relevant.

We are also very excited about the opportunity to partner with our amazing Harmony Community Leaders and Families. Community and Parent Engagement is not only desired by our school, staff, and students, but it will be a vital part of our school growth. So, please plan to join us throughout the school year as members of the PTSO. Additionally, we look forward to seeing each of you at all of our exciting school functions including Open House, Curriculum Night, Parent/Teacher Conferences, Bingo, Fall Festival, etc. Feel free to contact the school with any questions or concerns that you may have.

This year will be an amazing school year for our baby hawks and our community. We can’t wait to get started.
