The Walton County School System:

Has nine elementary, three middle, three high schools, and a Performance Learning Center.

The voters approved the passage and extension of ELOST to provide funding for the following projects:

    • Youth Elementary School was completed July 2002
    • Classroom addition and modification of Loganville High School was completed Spring 2003
    • Construction of a new music, art and physical education facility at Loganville Primary School was completed July 2004
    • Youth Middle School was completed July 2004
    • New Monroe High School was completed July 2005
    • New Monroe Elementary School was completed December 2006
    • Sharon Elementary School was completed July 2007
    • Loganville Athletic Complex was completed August 2007
    • New Walker Park Elementary School was completed December 2007
    • Walnut Grove High was completed July 2009
    • Bay Creek Elementary School Addition was completed December 2009
    • Walnut Grove Elementary School Addition and Renovations was completed December 2009

          The voters approved the passage of a Bond Referendum to provide funding for the following projects:

  • Construction of a new Walker Park Elementary School
  • Construction of a new Blaine Street Elementary School - Harmony Elementary School
  • Construction of a new High School - Walnut Grove High
  • Construction of Loganville Athletic Complex
  • Mechanical upgrades to existing facilities
  • Purchase of sixteen (16) new buses
  • Has developed a facilities plan that targets the growing student population.

Plans an aggressive construction and renovation program to house all students in permanent classrooms.

Five year local facility plan calls for renovation, modification, additions, etc. to various existing schools.
