Medicare Information for Retirees
Retirees/spouses age 65 or older who wish to continue to receive the state contribution toward the cost of the health insurance premiums must enroll in one of the Medicare Advantage PPO options offered by Humana (through an Alliance with CIGNA) and UnitedHealthcare. To obtain information about the MA PPO Plans, contact Humana at www.humana.com/stateofga 800-942-6724 or UnitedHealthcare www.uhcretiree.com/shbp 877-246-4190. Retirees may choose to enroll in any other option offered by SHBP but will pay 100 percent of the cost of the coverage.
