Why Walton?

The Walton County School District serves around 14,600 Pre-K through 12th grade students in 15 schools. There are 3 clusters each with 1 high school, 1 middle school and 3 elementary schools. The system provides a rigorous academic curriculum with enrichment programs for choral and instrumental music (K-12), band (5-12), visual arts (K-12), foreign languages (6-12) and technology (K-12). There are accelerated programs for high-performing students and differentiated curriculum for identified gifted students through combinations of resource, cluster, and/or collaborative instruction K-12, AP classes and advanced content. The system also provides special education programs for students ages 3 through 21. At the secondary level the curriculum includes Career, Technical, JROTC and Agriculture Education pathways. Additionally the district provides after-school programs, a before and after-school tutorial program and Parent Involvement Coordinators. There are many other services provided to students and their families through the school system.
